The VROC-F2 club is just that, a club, not a league. The racing is usually far more relaxed which makes it a nice break from the WSL. The F2 club is also how I got my start in online racing. It's geared towards complete newbies to online racing and it was the perfect way for me to venture online when I started a little more than a year ago. I don't exactly consider myself a newbie today but it's such a great club that there was no way I was going to stop attending F2 meets. Anyway, tonight's race was 21 laps at Monaco (a little more than an int short race, I think) and it really did me in. I can't remember how many times I hit the wall. The racing was pretty clean, although I think I took someone out once. I am still trying to figure out my new video card (an All in Wonder Radeon 7500) and my fps was terrible and I spent all of the practice session trying different gfx settings and I didn't get a lap in. I started last in a field of seven, and by the end of the race one or two people had left or discoed and I ended up 3rd and with the fastest lap, a 1.33.something. A lot of work, but a lot of fun. |
